blueprint created an innovative film for a groundbreaking Virgin Media Business campaign which was launched in mid-September 2012. Set in the future, the Virgin Media Business Generation IP: 2025 campaign takes a look at what is in store for the data economy.
As technology advances, almost every aspect of our homes and cities will be connected and data will be accessed like never before. From information about homes’ energy consumption to traffic data and news through our bathroom mirrors, by 2025 the world’s data storage will have reached 100 zettabytes, the equivalent to 36 billion years of HD video footage.
The highlight of the Generation IP: 2025 campaign is a short film set in 2025 which was dramatised and produced by blueprint. The film was filmed, edited and brought to life using 3D and 2D motion graphics and focuses on the themes of connectivity, mobility, remote working, collaboration and virtual meetings. It also looks at concepts relating to e-health with remote monitoring and diagnosis, and crowdsourcing.
